David Lewis
David was born in a small town in the Vale of Glamorgan, Llantwit Major. Though he moved many miles away, by God’s grace, he became a Christian in the same town 20 years later whilst attending a Youth camp! He has been involved in the Motor Trade for the past 20 years, though has no idea how they work or how to fix them! He is married to Debbie and they have three children. He serves as an Elder in his Church and formerly pastored a Church in Swansea. He is a keen golfer and helps out on the European Golf tour as a Chaplain. David joined the Daylight team in January 2012 and is excited at the thrilling work that God is going in our Prisons. David says, ‘prison work was not something that I ever considered, but the Lord knows best. Please pray for the work, and perhaps the Lord will use you to help a Prisoner find the Saviour. By His grace anything is possible with the Lord!’
Regional Co-ordinator for Bristol
Lindsay Dale
Lindsay studied Psychology at university, and during this time God revealed a lot to her about the meaning and importance of church and transformed the way that she viewed the Bible – from being a dusty dry manual to being the living and sovereign word of God. After graduating in 2010 she chose to spend a year supporting the Christian Union at a university by meeting with girls one-to-one, planning evangelistic events with the committee, doing theological study, and training students to lead Bible studies. Lindsay has wanted to work with offenders for as long as she can remember and joined the Daylight team in January 2012. She has a particular interest in Restorative Justice having spent six weeks volunteering in Rwanda, where she saw the Gospel of grace and forgiveness bringing reconciliation to genocide victims and offenders. She still lives in and absolutely loves Bristol, and is excited to be part of a church plant. As well as travelling she loves going to music gigs, singing, designing shoes, and occasionally jumping out of aeroplanes to get an adrenaline rush
