Daylight is a Christian organisation, established in 2004, which exists to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into prisons
across the UK so that prisoners can see their lives transformed by it.
We work in partnership with prison chaplaincies to run Bible studies and chapel services, and help equip local churches responding to the needs of ex-offenders in their community after release.
Our aim is for ex-offenders to be networked with a local support group which can provide practical help in finding statutory services for housing, employment opportunities, medical help and family support after release. The group also provides spiritual care as an offender adjusts to life on the outside and integrates into the local community and church.
Daylight aims to provide an end-to-end ministry so that at all stages of the criminal justice process, there is an opportunity for the Gospel to be heard.
