what we believe
Our values shape all that we do and are fundamental to our daily work. Daylight is:

Gospel-centred

We believe that every prisoner needs to hear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

People-focused

We believe that after release prisoners need help as they reintegrate into the community. Daylight will therefore endeavour to partner with local service providers in order to help ex-offenders find a home, work and family support.

Nationally-reaching, regionally-coordinated and locally-rooted

We work across the four countries in the UK to see the Gospel reach as many prisoners as possible, which is coordinated at a regional level. But Daylight is also rooted in local activity as we visit local prisons and seek to help ex-offenders integrate into a local community and church after release.

Partnership-driven

We work with churches, chaplaincies, Christianity Explored and DayOne ministries to help expand the work of the gospel in prisons and to support prisoners both inside and outside prison.

A good steward of financial support

We will use the gifts given to the work of Daylight wisely and in a way that furthers the work with offenders both inside and outside of prisons.

Accountable

We are accountable and transparent to our donors, funders and partners in order to maintain integrity in our work.

Professional

Our work is marked by professionalism that enables us to work efficiently and effectively.
