Letter Writing

Our Letter Writing Ministry enables volunteers to write to prisoners as a support during their sentences. With many prisoners receiving little or no contact from family and friends outside of prison, they often let us know how much they value this link with the outside world.

Recognising the importance of making sure this contact is carefully monitored, all letters to and from prisoners come through our office, and are checked before being sent on. This means that volunteers do not give out personal details such as their address and ensures that any potential problems are noticed and dealt with quickly.

If you would like to talk to a member of the Daylight team to find out how you can get involved with letter writing to prisoners, please contact us.

“For continuing to remind me that there is still life and hope, even inside my four walls I’m truly thankful.”
